Alexandria, AL – Two Die in Head-on Crash at US-431 & Becky Turner Rd

Alexandria, AL (March 1, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision in the Alexandria area left two people with fatal injuries on Monday night, February 26. The deadly accident was reported at the intersection of US-431 near Becky Turner Road at around 11:30 p.m. According to reports from local authorities, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup collided head-on at the scene. 

Both drivers suffered fatal injuries in the accident and were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders were dispatched to provide aid and clear the roadway of the resulting wreckage. The deceased parties were later identified as 58-year-old Clarence Williams and 46-year-old Phillip S. Palka, both of Gadsden. 

At this time, the circumstances leading to the deadly crash have not been determined. No further information on the accident has been provided.
