Deadly Pedestrian Crashes in Alabama

Athens, AL - Pedestrian Dies in Collision at New Cut & Zehner Rd

Traveling on foot can be a great way to get around with the added benefit of enjoying a beautiful day. Unfortunately, pedestrians are over-represented in national roadway deaths. Pedestrian deaths in the state of Alabama have increased by nearly 56 percent in 2012, and many have cited the growing trend of smartphones and distracted driving as possible contributors. The state has a higher pedestrian fatality rate than the national average of 2.51 per 100,000 population. Unfortunately, pedestrians are known to suffer life-threatening injuries, and many are killed in the event of an unexpected traffic accident. You need to partner with a skilled personal injury lawyer in order to pursue a successful wrongful death claim.

It can be difficult to handle the aftermath of a pedestrian accident alone. Deadly crashes often leave those closest to the deceased with substantial damages. Even in fatal accidents, the victim can still sustain financial losses, and you may be able to pursue a wrongful death claim in order to pursue a recovery. The person responsible for a deadly crash should be held responsible by all means possible, and a trained lawyer will be able to fight for justice on your behalf.
