Boaz, AL (March 5, 2024) – On Saturday, March 2, an Albertville man was killed following a pileup crash in the Boaz area. The fatal accident was reported on US-431 that night at around 8:30 p.m. Three or more vehicles reportedly collided on the highway.
Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. One man was pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. The deceased victim was later identified as 52-year-old Tim Purdy of Albertville.
At this time, it is unknown if any other injuries resulted from the collision. The area was temporarily closed as emergency units worked to clear the highway. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the fatal collision is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
