Falkville, AL – Crane Hill Woman Killed in Truck Accident on I-65

Falkville, AL (March 10, 2024) – On Friday, March 8, a Crane Hill woman was killed after a two-vehicle collision in the Falkville area. The deadly accident occurred on Interstate 65 near mile marker 322 early that morning at around 10:13 a.m. Local reports indicated that the crash involved a 2005 Toyota Corolla and a 2016 Peterbilt tractor-trailer. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. The area was closed for several hours while authorities worked the scene. The driver of the Corolla reportedly suffered fatal injuries in the impact. 

The identity of the deceased party was later revealed as 37-year-old Kayla R. Haynes, of Crane Hill.  She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information on the accident has been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
