Moulton, AL (March 26, 2024) – On Saturday, March 23, a Blountsville man was killed after a crash involving a motorcycle and an ambulance in the Moulton area. The deadly accident was reported on AL-157 near County Road 243 late that night at around 9:25 p.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched after being notified of a serious collision.
Local reports revealed that 33-year-old Sidney L. Canada II of Blountsville was on a disabled 2003 Honda VT600 motorcycle when he was hit by a 2017 Ford T250 Ambulance, driven by 21-year-old Hunter A. Harrell of Russellville. Canada suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Harrell and the onboard patient, 35-year-old Rochelle M. Ducharme of Sheffield, were transported to Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield for treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available.
