Wilmer, AL (March 4, 2024) – On Friday, March 1, there were reported injuries after a crash involving two commercial trucks in the Wilmer area. The accident was reported on AL-158 near Jones Road in Johnson County early that morning. Two semi-trucks collided at the scene. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the involved parties. One person involved in the accident was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No updates on their condition have been provided at this time. 

The area was temporarily closed as emergency units worked to clear the scene. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting debris and reopen the roadway to outside traffic. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
