Franklin, AL (May 5, 2024) – On Saturday, May 4, one person was killed and another was injured after a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle in the Franklin area. The deadly accident was reported at the intersection of County Road 78 and McCullough Road late that evening around 8:45 p.m. Local reports revealed that the victims were riding a Polaris Explorer when it overturned as it rounded a curve.
The incident caused both riders, 37-year-old Joarthur C. McDonald of Russellville and 23-year-old Colby B. Hamm, to be ejected from the vehicle. McDonald suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Hamm was transported to Russellville Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the incident is currently available.
