Cullman, AL (June 14, 2024) – On Wednesday, June 12, one person was killed after a head-on collision in the Cullman area. The deadly accident was reported on AL-69, near County Road 1534 early that morning, around 8 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2000 Chevrolet S10 driven by 44-year-old Wayne K. Ferguson collided head-on with another pickup truck on the highway. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. Ferguson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people inside the pickup truck, a 21-year-old and a 17-year-old, were hurt and transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. All lanes on the highway were closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
