Pell City, AL (June 6, 2024) – A Birmingham man was killed after a head-on collision involving a commercial truck outside of Pell City on Tuesday, June 4. The deadly accident was reported on US-231 that afternoon around 4:49 p.m. It was later revealed that a Dodge ProMaster van and a Volvo tractor-trailer collided at the scene.

Local reports indicated that 55-year-old James H. Wilson III of Birmingham was driving the Dodge when he crashed head-on with the oncoming semi-truck. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid. Wilson suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, 58-year-old Brian L. Regner of Anniston, was not injured in the accident. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available.
