Rainbow City, AL (June 2, 2024) – One person died as a result of a car crash outside of Rainbow City on Saturday, June 1. The deadly accident was reported on AL-77 in Etowah County early that morning, around 7 a.m. A 2022 Ford and a 2012 Toyota reportedly collided at the scene.

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. One person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, and another victim, who sustained fatal injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. The injured victim was later identified as a man from Eclectric, and the deceased victim was identified as an Oxford resident.
