Moody, AL (April 4, 2024) – On Monday, April 1, one person was killed and two others were injured after a vehicle collision in the Moody area. The deadly crash was reported at the corner of Highway 411 and James Taylor Road late that night around 7 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid.
When paramedics arrived, they found three victims with serious injuries. Two of the involved parties were flown by helicopter to a nearby medical center for treatment. One of the victims suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The deceased victim was later identified as 71-year-old Stephen Day of Moody. It was later revealed that one of the vehicles involved was traveling southbound and the other was headed northbound at the time of the crash. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
